Lyrics

Waiting for A Sign
By Dave Nachmanoff
 1995

On the cusp of my indecision, in a waiting room of Time
Where the Occidental hemisphere’s transmuted into rhyme
I’m a dweller on the threshold, I sit waiting for a sign
Where the ritual smoke of sacrifice plays tricks upon my mind

CHORUS:

Heads you win, tails I lose
Gets so hard for me to choose
Heads I lose, tails you win
And the wheel goes ‘round again, the wheel goes ‘round again

(CHORUS)

Now the strains of my commitment, they’re like chains upon my soul
And I sometimes get this feeling, that’s it’s out of my control
But if the choice is an illusion, then the battle lines are drawn
And the smoke will clear and leave me here, behind to soldier on

Bridge:

With the aid of an incantation, and the chanting of a spell
Now the secret is encoded, and my fate is sealed as well

On the cusp of my indecision, in a waiting room of Time
On the cusp of my indecision I sit waiting for a sign
I’m waiting, I’m waiting, waiting, waiting for a sign etc…
